Federal Minister of the Middle Class, Self-employed and SMEs & Member of the Parliament of the Brussels-Capital Region
Eléonore Simonet first stood for election in June 2024 and was elected to the Parliament of the Brussels-Capital Region thanks to a high personal score. In October 2024, she was elected as a municipal councillor for Woluwe-Saint-Lambert. She also sits on the police council for the Montgomery zone.
In February 2025, she was appointed Minister for the Middle Classes, the Self-Employed and SMEs in the federal government. She is, at 27 years old, the youngest minister in the federal government.
Ms Simonet holds a master’s degree in Corporate Law from UCLouvain.
