President, Łukasiewicz Research Network

The President of the Łukasiewicz Research Network, an association of 26 research institutes whose mission is to deliver comprehensive business solutions. In 2015-2019 he served as a sub-secretary at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. He was subsequently promoted to state secretary. In both roles he was responsible for the collaboration between business and science. He has drawn up the Implementation Doctorate Act, and coordinated the efforts to create a new concept of research institutes’ activities. In his capacity as an Innovation Team member he supervised the inter-ministry efforts to draw up the first and second innovation acts. As a consequence, R&D allowances increased from 30% to 100%.

A former director of the Centre for the Thought of John Paul II and the vice-president of the Tertio Millennio Institute. A graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University and the University of Hamburg. A doctor of humanities and a long-term lecturer at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow. A University of Freiburg scholar, and a graduate of the prestigious manager enrichment program offered by IESE Business School in Barcelona.
