CEO, VITO
Inge Neven opted for a broad education as a bioengineer, with a technical major and a thesis on precision agriculture. After her scientific studies, Ms Neven obtained an MBA from Vlerick Business School in general management.
After her studies, Ms Neven first worked as a consultant, among others at ADLittle and later at the start-up Empact. Looking for a job with more societal impact, she spent four years working for an NGO on capacity building in West and Central Africa. After this experience, Ms Neven returned to Belgium, where she worked as COO in a retail organisation and as Chief of Staff and CIO at imec. Finally, Ms Neven acted as Crisis Manager for the Brussels region during the COVID crisis, leading the management of all activities for the region in close collaboration with the responsible ministers at regional and federal level.
In 2023, she succeeded Dirk Fransaer as CEO of VITO.
