CTO, Flanders Make
Koen Maertens holds a PhD degree in Mechatronics/Robotics/Industrial Automation, which he obtained from KU Leuven, where he later worked as a Post Doctoral Researcher. In 2004, he joined CNH as an Innovation Specialist before becoming a Visiting PhD student at TU Delft. Following that, he worked at Picanol as a Purchase Engineer, Project Manager Purchase Engineering, and R&D Portfolio Manager. In 2017, he became the owner of MaerTec and also took on the role of R&D Director at Duco Ventilation & Sun Control. Since 2014, he has been a Member of the Advisory Board at Flanders Make and currently holds the position of CTO since November 2023.
