Head of Incubation and Acceleration, VITO
Nils Wuytens started as Venture Development Manager at VITO in 2022, and since 2024 he is also Programme Director, leading VITO4STARTERS, VITO’s deeptech accelerator programme and managing its annual investment budget. He drives deal flow and investment decisions, supports startups by leveraging VITO’s technological expertise, and guides teams from validation to market entry. He also builds strategic partnerships and launches new initiatives to expand VITO’s impact across the deeptech ecosystem. Since 2025, he has also been appointed Board Member of BlueChem, the first incubator for sustainable chemistry in Belgium, a unique public-private partnership that brings industry, academics and government together with the common ambition to help start-ups and growth companies grow on an industrial scale.
